Stacie Martin Biography:
Stacie began her career at Blair Television as a national sales assistant 3 days after graduating from UT Arlington in 1990.  Afterward she served as Local Account Executive at the NBC Affiliate in Abilene, TX and then at KXTX (IND) in Dallas, TX.  Her tenure at these stations involved local, regional, and national account development and service.  She specialized in sports and specials packaging over time, and was awarded recognitions for her success internally.
After the sale of KXTX, Stacie rejoined the sales force as Sr. Account Executive at Blair Television, and was promoted to Group Sales Manager, and then Sales Manager.  Stacie stayed with the company until it was closed late in 2008.
Later, she was charged with the privilege of the business development efforts in the South Central region for Arena Media Networks. Arena Media Networks (AMN), a national sports and entertainment media company, provides marketing access to over 100 million passionate fans attending sporting events, concerts and family events each year.   AMN is currently partnered with over 50 professional sports venues including: Yankee Stadium, Madison Square Garden, Fenway Park, United Center and Dallas Cowboys.  The company sold in early 2010, which brings her to her new role at Magnus Media.
As 2011 President-Elect of the DFW Chapter of the Alliance for Women in Media (formerly AWRT-DFW), Stacie will tell you that her affiliation with American Women and Radio and Television has been valuable in her professional development, and she is eager to become President of the very dynamic DFW Board.  She hopes to leave a legacy of a pioneering spirit, mutual respect, and commitment to community.   “In these times, we (the members of the media) are charged to embrace, manage, and direct change as a unified force for our individual and mutual gain – and AWM (formerly AWRT) is the organization that makes that possible!” she says.
Personally, Stacie is a single mother of a bright 11-year old boy and serves the Single Parent community with every opportunity she is presented.  She helped found a group called Single Parents Network and directed it for 2 years.  She is assisted in the launch of a new Single Mothers outreach called Grace Walk.  It is her conviction that a family is a family though each family looks different.   She now is founding a non-profit called Single Parent Advocate.  Her philosophy is, “We can love when love is not what we have received, help each other as we help ourselves, and create a legacy for our children that are positive and productive.”
